About Us

About our Parish

A caring, welcoming and friendly church in the richly diverse area of North Leicester. We are a growing community with young families and children. It’s a community that celebrates God’s love and embraces all people from every background, languages and cultures.

Our Vision
To be a Christian witness of God’s love, revealed in Jesus Christ through care and service of our neighbour.
Our Mission
Together, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom in word and deed whilst celebrating diversity and richness of cultures.
History
In the 1980s, thanks to money from the City Council, the church was divided in two with movable screens. The back half was made into a community

The Church of the Resurrection (previously known as St. Alban’s Church) was opened in 1906, built in an art nouveau style. The worship area still retains its beautiful lighting. The church was built to serve a growing working class area of terraced housing and factories, which characterize the surrounding streets.
